PTQA has had its best ever recruitment for its eigth cohort. Studies started with Module 1 on 21st September 2009 and Module 2 started on 18th January 2010. There are just over 40 students on the current cohort. Any new applicants will be considered for cohort 9 in 2011. The current cohort are as usual, a delightful set of folk and are settling in well. The administration team are delighted at this very positive response to our well established and nationally recognised course.

The changes from SPEME, which were referred to earlier in the course administration are now complete. The move from the Houldsworth School of Engineering to the School of Healthcare was completed in time for the running of Module 1. PTQA has been comprehensively adopted by Healthcare and as such is receiving support in depth from a well established University Department.

The new course director is using all the facilities at her disposal to support PTQA. She is working on a better secretarial assistance by trying to persuade managers that we need the extra input and that we can control the expense that this would entail. Some review of course material has been undertaken and this is an ongoing process. We wish all involved in the PTQA course every success in their endeavours.
