  • To encourage and advise on the development and improvement of continuing professional education in the technical specialist areas of hospital pharmacy throughout the UK.
  • To maintain a register of suitable training provision.
  • To monitor and advise on the syllabus and content of courses, study days and or conferences intended for pharmaceutical technical specialists and trainees.
  • To initiate the development of new courses where required.
  • To report the activities of the Group to the parent organisations i.e. NHS Pharmaceutical Production, Quality Assurance and Radiopharmacy Committees.


To act as a focus for the identification and sourcing of training and education, appropriate to the needs of the individual and the service, for pharmaceutical technical specialist hospital staff in the UK.



The Group reports principally to the NHS Pharmaceutical Production, Quality Assurance and Radiopharmacy Committees, and the minutes of it's meetings are circulated to the represented organisations. The other organisations represented by TSET Committee Members also receive direct feedback on TSET activities.
